Nashua Airport: Property Acquisition
Gale provided airport planning, engineering design, bidding, and construction phase services for acquisition, demolition, and restoration of two abutting properties in the Runway Protection Zone.
The Challenge
- Existing dwellings are located within the Airport’s Runway Protection Zone (RPZ)
- Each property has numerous obstructions to the FAR Part 77 imaginary surfaces
- Both property owners have been long-term airport neighbors

- Assist homeowners with finding new homes and guiding them through the process
- Prepare FAA required documentation for acquisitions
- Prepare environmental site assessment and historical, architectural, and archaeological investigation to obtain demolition permits
- Remove all obstructions (buildings and trees)
- Restore properties to safe condition following obstruction removal
