Building Enclosure Design and Consulting
Why did you choose this career? I majored in architecture in college and my professors often commented that I was “a bit too practical” in my designs. I enjoy problem-solving and making decisions quickly to keep moving forward, and this career allows me to do just that. My focus on roof replacements provides a good niche to become an expert, while also providing enough challenges to continue learning!
What is your favorite part of your job? I enjoy the process of completing a design document package and overseeing it through construction.
Who are you outside of Gale? I’m a bit of a homebody and an interior design aficionado, so I spend most of my time outside of Gale working on my home. In 2012, I bought my first home, which was a 1950’s fixer upper. I spent five years renovating the house by myself, with the help of friends and family, until I decided that living in a permanent cloud of plaster dust just wasn’t for me. In 2018, I upgraded to a newer home that I can still put my touch on without the never-ending heavy construction projects. I also love to hike, cook, read, and watch movies.
Fun Fact: What is your favorite “guilty pleasure” food? Five Guys cheeseburgers, although I’ve made a rule to only get a cheeseburger after a hike: Five Miles for Five Guys!
