Building Enclosure Commissioning
Why did you choose this career? ? I studied sustainability in college and found out that a lot of energy conservation can start at the built environment. Building enclosure commissioning focuses on the separation of exterior and interior spaces, controlling how a building uses energy and ultimately, helping to save and maintain energy through thermal, waterproofing, and air barrier continuity. Mostly, I fell into this career but I’m lucky that I found something I enjoy, especially so early on.
What is your favorite part of your job? I love to be out on site, watching a building go up piece by piece. I also get to do forensic testing which can be a useful problem-solving tool in the field.
Who are you outside of Gale? Outside of Gale, I like to explore the city and spend time with friends and family.
Fun Fact: If someone were to play you in a movie, who would it be? Maybe someone like Meryl Streep so that there would be potential for an Oscar. I want my 15 minutes of fame.
