Athletic Facilities Planning and Design / Civil Engineering
Why did you choose this career? After graduating with a degree in Environmental Science, I spent some time working in water quality and invasive species management where I spent time delineating and mapping natural resource areas. It was there that I developed an interest in mapping, which then led me into the more in-demand field of surveying. I came to Gale for the opportunity to use my surveying skills while also gaining exposure to civil design and development.
What is your favorite part of your job? My favorite moments likely involve those few times a year when I happen to be on an aesthetically pleasing job site and the weather also happens to be beautiful.
Who are you outside of Gale? Outside of Gale, I spend whatever free time I can outdoors. I’m a cyclist, runner, and hiker in the summer, a skier in the winter, and a golfer whenever possible. I recently moved to Allston with my girlfriend and our dog, Luna, so we spend plenty of time exploring whatever restaurants and dog parks Boston has to offer.
Fun Fact: I once cycled from Denver to Los Angeles and my wish is to some day ride from Boston to Seattle.
